Heritage District and Murphy Avenue: brick shop fronts, flats on the floor above, one street door between them

Murphy Avenue is the one stretch of the city where no two doors came out of the same order. These buildings have been altered every decade for a century, so a call from this block is worth two extra sentences: is the door aluminum with the cylinder up in the rail, or wood with a case buried in the edge, and was the frame renewed the last time the shop was fitted out.
